20" compo Shirley Temple doll from 1935. This doll is incredibly rare, it is the Duck dress from Curly Top, but it is a special version of that dress made exclusively for Macy's. The doll itself has very pale coloring and chubby cheeks and loose curls. It is not marked on the back of the head or back, it has a paper tag inside its head that says "C1934 Ideal Novelty and Toy Co. which distinguished the very first prototype dolls. These are some of the most sought after because they look so much like Shirley did at that age.
